I am a New York State resident but active duty Army soldier stationed in Ft Bragg, NC. I come back during the first week of gun season every year to hunt and despite applying a few years now, I still haven't drawn and thus looking a 3H tag. I do have a 3M but I do not have any connections in Orange County anymore to hunt. I will gladly give up my 3M though I know they are easy to get. On that note, if anyone has 3M land my dad and I could hunt for a day or two, we would appreciate it.

3H or 3A anyone? I have 4 more days of leave before heading back to Ft Bragg. Thank you.

3H....I'm heading up to NY from Ft Bragg this Thursday. I'm active duty coming home to hunt next week and really hoping someone has a 3H tag they can't use. I have a great cap and polo shirt from my unit to trade. Thank you.

On November 1st DEC will issue more 3M. They have to be purchased in person. ..not online or phone.

Opening morning after my 11 hour drive from NC. I put my climber up near the same spot where opening day last year a 4pt walked by. We are in a 3pt on one side area. So this guy comes in from my right rear and I'm watching him over my shoulder but he's walking in the exact wide open path I walked in on. He looks up at me and I am frozen. I suspect he sensed something he turned and started to walk behind me. I straightened my head and waited hoping he would come out on my left. Then I heard him snort. I stood up quickly with my gun and turned hoping he just jumped and looked back...which is exactly what he did. And my 270 went clean through with unbelievable blood trail for 20 yards. I have been overseas the past couple seasons and am stationed in NC. Was surprised to learn legsl shooting light changed. Anyone know rationale? If safety is concerned I would love to see reports of people mistaken for deer and shot during those hours. The irresponsible hunter in Oswego shows time of day didn't matter.
