This is a very interesting website. At least 8 strains of wuhan flu are circling the globe. It’s mutated some. Chinese docs found two strains early on. I wonder if both those are on this link or not. Latest is what I clicked on. Give it a long time to progress as it’s slow. Worth the wait.

I seem to be ahead of the game. I’m hoping these survive the temps. Two of three peach trees are blossoming and the cherry is about to pop.

My Labrador is barking at pretty much any noise. She’s sitting by the door often. I swear this dog knows something is not quite right. On a non related note, damn dog was snoring her ass off the other night. I woke her up multiple times, tried to get her to adjust her head. No luck.... made me think of an x girlfriend hadn’t thought of in years...
Anyone else see this behavior, not snoring, in their pet?

This is hands down the best sausage I’ve eaten. No need to smoke though I’m thinking that for my next batch.
11 lbs meat. Venison or pork or bat or snake if that floats your boat.
75grams (2/3 cup) “flower pepper” . This is a key ingredient. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sichuan_pepper my opinion here is more is better. The American version of this was used long ago by dentists as a numbing agent.
75 grams chilly pepper. Use whatever you like here. Cayenne or whatever
125 grams salt. I don’t use this but recipe calls for.
50 grams sugar
50 grams bai jui. This is loosely translated to white cooking wine. But it’s a high alcohol content. There is a specific product in Asian grocery stores. Assume amazon has it as well but have not,looked.
dash or pinch of five spice powder
dash or pinch of white pepper
if you feel real brave, something called “chicken extract”. Basically chicken bouillon, dash or pinch.
above are guidelines. More or less as desired.
Mix all above with meat. Let soak 12-24 hours. Then stuff into casings. Note this recipe does not call for cure. Add cure as desired. Enjoy!

Madness at at least some entry points to mainland China. In effect now, China has closed its borders. People scrambled to get back before they were unable. China is protecting citizens from infected travelers.

Jaw dropping really. I will say this is not representative of all of China. FYI I’ve wandered through China and gone to many many local markets. I rather enjoy seeing and trying new things, to a point. In all the places I’ve gone, I’ve never seen anything remotely close to this. Glad I never did actually.

China lied in the beginning but after, the writing was on the wall for those to interpret. I sadly bought I to the no worse than a flu theory, as did many others. We really need to learn the lessons from China.
On another note there is a lab in NYC that has a test for anti bodies. Much the same as the finger prick test in China. Note I think this to be true but my medical knowledge is limited. They are apparently able to ship this to other medical labs. I want to try and be tested myself.
after a bit more reading, yes this is for anti body testing. But does not look like they have test kits. More like a blueprint is my guess.

Like it or not... it’s already upstate. You think anyone wants this to spread? The front line is moving in this “war” on US soil... Our front line soldiers and facilities, ie medical people and hospitals, seem to be getting over run. I hope for yours and others sake this doesn’t spread much past where it is now. If the facilities where you are become overrun such as it appears in NYC area, you should hope others around you don’t share your same attitude. If so, you may find yourself with nowhere to go if you become sick. F* those people in old Chatham.. they are a bunch of backward assed red necks . We don’t want them getting US sick....

The answer is lock down medical facilities. Enforce strict measures to make sure disease does not leave. As squirrel whisperer said medical people took an oath. Respect that oath...and those whom took it. Much like a soldier in war. What does everyone think about a soldier who took an oath then says screw everyone else and runs and hides. Has this thread ever gone ugly.

Actually I seem to be the only one thinking this is not a good thing. Here is my logic. Minimal testing and telling everyone to stay home. Think you have it? STAY HOME. Act like you do have... tell the people who think they have it whatever steps you would say with a positive test. getting worse? Arrange to go to hospital. I don’t get everyone rushing to be tested.

If it’s under the damn roll gets stuck usually. On top I pull and it rolls the way it’s supposed to. I actually won this battle with mrs bundy. One of my few victories..
i actually noticed at work there are two rolls and usually one is top and one is bottom. Not sure it’s on purpose or coincidence.

Funny you should ask. What I have is home made honey wine and red wine. But.... I just was trolling around my basement and rediscovered a still my grandfather gave me long ago. Nothing fancy. Someone’s jerry rig from eons ago. Sorry for anyone named jerry. PC and all. I told my wife last night might be time to get this thing going. If cabin fever keeps up, I may just give this a try.

I got enough ammo to put meat in the freezer for a good while. I got enough home made swill for even longer. Also going to celebrate 420 whups I mean 4/20 with biz.
But seriously.. my 7m08 rounds are lower than I like and am thinking order some or get some powder shipped to my hunting buddies. Where were the 1000 rounds ordered from?

Biz and whomever. I’ve ordered from this place in the past. Seems good. They had or maybe still have plants you can order. I wouldn’t plant a melon of any kind. Tricky to get a finished product. You like kale? Grows well and easy. Not bad in a salad either. I ordered Bulgarian carrot chilies and bumblebee cherry tomatoes seeds from this place a few years ago.
