We went 2 years ago in mid July...stopped at Juneau, Ketchicam and Skakway...was overcast, misty and 40's the whole trip. Had a couple of days in the upper 30's...Sun never came out...jeans, shirt layers and a light rain coat worked for us ...also brought winter hat/gloves just in case. Kids wore them. incredible trip. Have a great time.

Thanks to all for the suggestions...got some ideas now for my Christmas list.

I had to hike a little further than expected this morning and of course the sweating started. What underlayments work for you guys/gals to help with this. Thanks

Dexilant has help me with my bouts...I've tried the other and didn't work for me..I also try and eat early if possible...sleeping with a wedge pillow to keep elevated a bit has helped

I own a Suzuki Eiger......great machine....I've had it for about 7 years...never an issue....used ones are out there.. I did add over sized tires, winch and skid plates.....A winch and skid plates might not be a bad idea especially if your Dad will be out there by himself Winch has gotten me out of trouble a few times...

Set up 2 cameras last weekend for the upcoming turkey season, and retrieved them today...some questions as this was my first go at it...are they that sensitive? Got 30 pictures in a row with nothing in view..it was very windy that particular day...I'm guessing branch movement, leaves, etc triggerd it...also, some images recorded 4/4 and 4/5...then nothing till yesterday..4/11...I know there in a good spot...deer trail is clear...guessing no activity? Thanks for any advise on these things...

I to have vertigo...do you allergies? Took awhile to figure this out for me, but clogged sinuses can really throw your equilibrium off...keeping the allergies under control keeps my vertigo under control...just a thought...

This is my 2nd year in the woods....i'm at a spot where I have seen and heard a lot of birds...last weekend there was activity but couldn't get any to come in...heard a few this am around 5:30...there is a fog in the air although I can see quite a distance...could this be a reason I'm not hearing much this am? Do you vetreans out there stay out of the woods on mornings like this?? Thanks
