  1. Friend of ours shot a 1 horned doe on thanksgiving last year in 4a. very strange. Only seen a two in my hunting career. Thanks for sharing, Core_Lokt
  2. I posted the same thing on a forum somewhere else and people flipped. They said I was defacing the doctors image and that I had no right to put that up. Yeesh. It was funny. Thanks for posting Core_Lokt
  3. I have not been seeing many deer at all since gun season has started. Don't get me wrong, I know that you are going to have sits and even stretches of sits where you see nothing. but I have seen 0 deer since 11am on Nov. 20th, when i shot a doe. I am just wondering what everyone else is seeing.... Core_Lokt
  4. "hunting is just point and shoot. Random Killing" One of my friends said this to me the other day and I wanted to scream..... People just don't get it do they? :'( Core_Lokt
  5. This is true. The deer are going so be so thrown off by the hunters and shots that I suppose the wind won't matter as much, just the fact that they WANT TO LIVE...... Good luck, Doc and all, Core_Lokt
  6. Dominant Buck = Grunt Tube "OTHER" Buck = The can Maybe beforehand use some hot doe urine?
  7. looks like its going to be windy here where I am for opening day, 15-20 mph. If you are hunting on a mountain or mountainous terrain, try and find the side of the mountain that is sheltered from the wind (usually the east side) and sit in a good stand there if you have one, or set up a blind/find a comfy stump. Deer will move through those areas finding the PERFECT spot to get out of the wind. Thats what I'll be doing opening day ;D Core_Lokt
  8. Congrats to your son! I missed a 5 point with a bow last year, and a 3 or 4 with a bow this year. Both would have been my first deer. But that's why it's hunting and not killing Congrats bro, Core_Lokt

    I Love Smallies

We got some of the nicest smallies when we were trollin for 'eyes on Oneida Got two of them mounted
  10. Thats gotta be rewarding to have waited that long. Bet it was worth it though, right??? LOL Core_Lokt
  11. I gotcha beat. How about REAL COWS. Summer 2009 a group of about 10 belted duchess' cows (including one mean bull) got out and became wild. Fall 2009, I am walking down to my bow stand on the edge of a field in complete darkness (with a weak flashlight just to see brighteyes and such) and I spot something white In the field. There is a lightish colored something (who knows, been there forever, its an old stand) at the base of my stand. I didn't think anything of it. 10 steps later, I stop dead because what sounds like a bulldozer going through the woods charges down the hill away from me. I didn't have any clue what it was. Until I got out of my stand after missing a 5 pt buck at 20 yards :'( :'( , my father and I discovered the tracks. I was actually lucking I didn't turn into a nice flat carpet for those cows to run on ;D .
  12. Thats a huge buck, but really? You just took the NYS record buck and DIDN'T TUCK THE TONGUE IN?????!!
  13. When I'm in a single ladder stand or climber, I use one without a doubt. If I'm in a double stand, It depends on the situation. If Im in a platform stand of some kind, I don't generally use one..... Hunters Safety Systems are the best!! ;D Core_Lokt
  14. I use the G5 Montec fixed blades. In the next year or two I hope to segway into Stingers.....anyone use the stingers?
