Exactly. I remember while on a hog hunt a few years bak in CA i shot a nice sow in the morning, took her back to camp and came back a few hours later to nothing but critter tracks where she was gutted.

When i lived out west, breaking down deer, elk, hogs and bear was how we got it out most of the time. Really not that tricky but being able to haul the weight is the real challenge.

Afternoon, ill be hunting 8R this year in Cattaraugus county but cant seem to find in the regs if rifles are legal? Anyone have a link or perhaps know? Thank you and i appreciate the information.
