    I agree and I think it might need some clarification from DEC because there is nothing that I can find in writing that elaborates on this.

    I am in no way in disagreement but if I am legitimately baiting for fox or coyotes, which is legal, you cant really prevent a bear from coming in. I actually just started another topic regarding hunting over a gut pile and this is my dilemma. If I am hunting over a gut pile intended for predator, such as coyote or fox, and a bear comes in what is the actual ruling on that.?

    For this instance I am referring to hunting over a gut pile from your own deer kill. Now I understand you can hunt fox and coyote over it but you cant obviously prevent a bear from coming in and feeding over it. I would assume that you would just not be able to kill that bear.

    Wow 80 yards with the handgun! That is a heck of a shot! I think predators make great mounts. I have yet to add a predator to my mounts but I am working on a fox and a bobcat!

    That is a great looking fox. You should definitely do something with that base. Lots of potential. Did you purposely go fox hunting or did you get it by chance?

    I am interested in seeing some mounts of other animals that you guys have harvested other than deer. Especially predators. Lets see them!

    Was this Friday night/Saturday morning?? I was driving up Friday and saw a beautiful 130ish class buck in the same exact area around 1030-1045pm.

    They were not together in one spot. The three yotes were spread between exits 25 & 17. Thats why I found it odd.

    Thats why I find it odd to see three within that large span. I also saw alot of deer out feeding at 2pm which I found odd.

    Exactly. Thats what has me curious. Are they becoming bolder to come out near highways now or are they being pushed out possibly.

    It was actually causing traffic because everybody was slowing down to see what it was so I guess I am not the only one that hasnt seen a roadkill yote.

    I went up to camp this weekend to cut wood and on the way home yesterday I saw three dead yote's on the side of the thruway between exits 25 and 17. I mention this because I have never even seen one dead yote, never mind three in one day. Is there a possible population boom this year?
