  1. Check the jersey classes. Easier, faster, more readily available. They are good for NY and you can walk in

    Hey

Hey guys, Last year I was very briefly on the forum. I live in NJ, 4 miles from Orange co. I'm a lifelong hunter n fisherman. Was a taxidermist and am a Hunter Ed instructor, mainly for archery
  3. This time of year is getting to where people would like to take hunter ed courses. Many friends of mine have found it very difficult to find courses in NY. NJ is close for lots of guys n gals. There are many classes and though you should sign up they allow walk ins. You must complete the workbook, available at sporting goods stores and watch the video. Archery students must bring a bow pulling at least 35 lbs and be able to put 3 out of 5 arrows in a deers vitals at 15 to 20 yards. Bows will be checked for safety and the 5 arrows must be matched. Firearm students need not bring a gun. It will be provided. These courses are free of charge and are International courses so NY must honor them. The classes are finished in one day so you need not come back. You can do archery and firearm in the same day n most times you're out by noon or slightly after and of course all students are welcome. NJ allows hunting at 10 so that's the age requirement. Any questions pm me
