Looks like a cubby box for trapping fishers/raccoons and a mighty nice one at that. It looks to be NY compliant since the laws changed years ago. The connibear traps sits back far enough in the trap as to not catch domestic dogs and the opening appears to be less than the 10" requirement. You can see the half moon shape opening in the front that makes it legal. Years ago it was legal to set a trap in a 5 gallon bucket until the DEC receive complaints of dogs being killed in them. Now it's almost impossible for a dog to be killed in a cubby box if the laws are followed.
