Burt..i had movie 0005 up 2 hrs after shooting my deer..things have gotten alot easier and quicker in 20 yrs..cameras are lighter and smaller..but better quality..

I build all kinds of stuff for myself also..u have a 3phase weldergenerator and mig machine to go with it..but i broke down and bought a nice tripod. I move around so much i like to set up quick and its easier than hangin arms everywhere..i also am expecting my 3rd boy on jan 20..congrats wny..

The early part of my vid where i watched the buck from afar..i was sittin atop my truck in a lawn chair and a beer..scouting is tough..haha..but seriously consider if you do go geno..take a camera man..its hard enough to shoot a deer yourself..let alone snaping the camera on and getting to full draw while a buck is on a b line past your spot

Ive been taking my sony digital handycam with me for about 2 yrs and it has become a regular item in my backpack along with my smartphone/camera/videocamera/gps/weatherstation/information super highway..etc. I know theres alot of old schoolers out there that scoff at the idea and refuse to even try. But think about all the times you saw somthing interesting and wished you had a camera. I bring my cameras with me even scouting and have caught some awesome things that only after review i didnt see b4. It keeps things interesting and helps with the attempt..haha..at trying to manage what you have with the rest of your crew. If you are on the edge of taking that step..do it! You have no idea the feeling of watching your own "show" no matter how small. You can bet i will need to charge the droid a few times after showing all the christm@s going fam the trials and tribulations of my year...

Thats how the videos went for me all yr..called in a big tom this spring from at least 150 yds ..beautiful video only to have my partner miss..tthis chuck video..i was too close..and my deer where it was a great shot only missed on video..hopefully i can get a good replacement cam to record a kill for predator..the deer video took its toll on my equipment..it was rainy

Im looking for somepossibe tips for what to throw on my bait site besides just my deer scraps and old freezer meats..also where you set it up..i have mine in a bowl in a giant field..

Ive had or had access to a treecam for 6 yrs and its always a good time. I would just like to see what kinds of cameras people are using, i have a stealthocam. How is your battery usage, i go thru 6 c about every 3 mo. Do you use it in the winter.whats the coolest thing youve captured?

Oh man that felt good..just woke up..seems like its been a long time comin fer that..i keep expecting a call or message fro my group sayin one last deer push but im guessin they are as burnt out on deer as i am. As i sip this fine coffee and stare into the fire i can say i gave it everything i had this yr and i regret nothing. Now its time to boil some heads for european mounts and slam some beers with buddies and share some stories..also lookin forward to posting some predator success pics and if i can swing a new vidcam then vids will pop up here too..

Little windy tonite but thought id scope the back 40 via spotlight..deer are hangin out in fields anyway..

Got busted by four doe comin out..thats it for my season..glad i took what i did..now plans for predator night hunts..

I guess this is like the pre game info but its time for me to scoot..i like to get out and sit in the dark way early..from my house walkin and dancin thru the lake erie effect snow over about 60 acres to get to my favorite spot..i see theres questions about atire and i too am wearing all white..ive had more success in this powdery snow with it and i just started wearing it a few yrs ago..wind aint bad so i think im gonna recurve it up today..nothin against the gun but i like to have my fun too..ill probly sit and wait till 9 am to move..but then i go for a slow walk in the pines ..last weekend..lotta people gave up already..i already used the mzl/bow..time to fill reg season tag..

Its odviously working for them regardless as ive had pointed out to myself

Kansas and indiana i believe have a one buck all season..how do you look at that as an alternative to restriction

Like i suggested..there are other advantages to a feeding system besides the hunting aspect..im in favor for antler restriction but if im restricted then give me a better chance to harvest the biggest deer i can "wait" for..seeings how i dont eat the rack..even the doe ..would be nice to compare them so when i do take one i dont find faded spots on it..i hate that..you are looking for improvement in antler averages..id like to see maintenence of all deer improve..if possible
