Pav2704
Anybody know what type of grass this is? It looks almost like a low lying fern... not really sure? I have it in some of my food plots and its impossible to get rid off. I've tried roundup, used the weed wacker, and tilled it with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys
growalot
looks like a long dying moss ...perhaps hairycap moss....weed killers don't normally kill the carpet moss we have but there are things on the market just for moss and I think a high amout of P or K will kill it...can't remember

wdswtr
I wish I could remember the name of this stuff. I googled all over and came up blank. One foodplot I did the area was covered with this stuff. I tried to kill the stuff a few times and ended up using the loader on the tractor and scraping of the moss and a few inches of soil. Then I turned the whole thing over with a bottom plow. This was a few years ago and it seems I won that battle. Now I am on a mission to find out the correct name. I know some family members call it snake moss but thats a generic name of course.
