big day tomorrow

tomorrow im taking my buddies boy out for the youth hunt. got a nice ll blind set on a ridge over a clover field.(yup, food plot, startin him young) Should be pretty fun. hope to get him one. Let him use my rem 760 30.06. he seems to like it and hes had a week of hard practice, in all aspects of shooting, primarily safety. hes got a good head on his shoulders and im looking forward to it.

Good luck hope he gets a good one to keep him interested. Dont think ill ever forget the feeling i had when i dropped my first deer, to some it was just a doe but i knew it was meat in the freezer and i couldnt eat the horns anyways.lol but made some great jerky

yeah. i hope to keep him into it. hope my own kids do.... there playing xbox and ipod as we speak and drives me nuts. all i had to play with when i was a kid was a wood pile and a wood closet. couldnt wait for hunting season.
