His father, Gordon Stevens, wrote: "My son and I have learned to fly fish this year and two weeks ago he took his first brown trout on a fly. This past weekend fishing with Tony Gugino, a guide in Pulaski, we had great success. "Ben caught this lunker among the four he landed on Nov. 4 We said he'd go flyfishing with a guide if he get's straight A's and now I don't think he will waiver from those marks!
