DEER HUNTING IN MAINE

Hi im just wondering if anyone out there from long island does any deer hunting in maine.i have an interest in going up there for a deer hunt.any info would be great or possibly someone from LI interested in going. let me know. thanks JT...

Hey guys, I've been going to Maine for over 10 years. Deer are scarce, most of the locals track. I usually go to the Rangeley area and there is plenty of open land. Most is owned by timber and paper companies but open to all. You can go to a lodge but I wouldn't overpay cause odds are low. Beautiful state I've seen moose close up and alot of black bear. You can rent a house from VRBO reasonable and ride the logging roads hoping to cut a track in snow hopefully or mud. Good luck.
