phade
Those who hunt close to the lake, do you notice variations in the wind direction from the prominent forecast? SW is the predominant wind direction on most days during bow season. I hunt a few places close to the lake and notice at times winds will be streaking N to S with no apparent thermal/lay of land factors. I know big bodies of water can do this, and assuming the water temp is higher than the air, that it could push wind currents onto shore. I have a spot that is within eyesight of the lake....so curious to hear about experiences. I have a good drive to get there, and don't want to get there expecting one wind and be met with another if I can help it.
