Discover other gamebirds while spring turkey hunting

There may be small game around that you were unaware of. The past year I have heard hunters ask about mourning doves in NY, as well as snipe, woodcock, and grouse. The best time to listen for these birds is during spring turkey season, because they are mating as the turkeys are. A matter of fact, snipe sound a little bit like a hen turkey.
