Maps for GPS

Hey Guys, I just ordered my first GPS and wanted to know what maps you all use for NYS.  I really want the huntinggpsmaps, but they dont have NY available yet.  Are there any other sources that have maps for NY that are good?  Possibly showing boundaries, and ownership for private land?  Also, public land (Sterling Forest specifically)

Thanks!  After you download a map from that site do you simply save it to a micr sd card and put it in your Garmin and it automatically uploads?

not sure mine does not have an sd card downlowded it directly to the GPS
