She took it with a 30-yard shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.

Ali Barrett, of Locke, poses with her first wild turkey, taken on Friday, the last day of the spring season.

She hunted hard all season,going out numerous times. She took it with one shot at 30 yards with a 12-gauge shotgun, using hen and jake decoys to lure it.

She shot it in the town of Skaneateles. It had a 10-inch beard.
