I am thinking it is still too warm, my buddy went scouting this week at all his hot spots from last season and said it was completely dead. I wonder if anyone who has gone out on the island has had any luck?? it shouldn't be that much of a secret to just tell us if they have had any luck yet.....I know asking where to go is a big secret around here on the island.

I went out on Saturday 9/14 had about 4 groups 25 birds in all flying very were but by us we had 8 floaters and 3 field decoys set up did some calling but they were about 70 to 80 yards south of us on the way in we ran into two other hunters out there who got two geese but the worst news is when my dog Oz was getting out of the boat he caught one of his nails on the dock and tore it open had to rush him to the vet they cleaned it cut the nail  gave him some pain meds and antibiotic he will be out for the rest of September no swimming but doc said he could do some field hunting  I'm just keeping him home till he is held

Whats up papabear!!!??.....Dam sorry to hear about your dog thats never good to hear. Well hopefully he rests and heels up well. Theres always Rabbit season for Oz to enjoy!

 

I think i'll be heading out this weekend to find some geese. Wish me luck!!
