Heading out in the morning to whack done bushy tails

Going over to Fairfield state forest in the morning to see how the wildlife looks. With all the leaves still on the trees I guess ill take the ol' .410 out and see if I can't bag a few squirrels to add into the chili I just threw together for tomorrow evening. Got it low n slow in the crock pot n got the house smelling good. Gotta feeling its gonna be a good day.

Didn't see a damn one. Lol. But the chili turned out great. Walked around at Fairfield state lands tried the sit n watch but still nothing. Got out late tho maybe that's why. Still a lot of cover for them to hide in may have been a few that didn't get seen. Always next time.

Seems to be a tough season so far.  Not to many hunters are seeing a lot of squirrels.  It appears not all the acorns have dropped yet so they don't need to come down from the top of the trees yet.
