The rains have just....

Started...get out the rafts...suppose to be a doozie...calling for up to 2" here...so glad I'm on top of the hill...just hobbled out and spread some more seed over the grain plots...had a little left over...just in case the birds got it before seeding ...like I didn't know...whether it takes or even grows for long ...it will thicken up the areas for at least a little while...this wind has it raining beech nuts and acorns big time...that's not good...rather have something on the trees at least for a week into the season I'll have to count on the hophorn and hazel nuts...

Gowie can't we cancel this storm due to a lack of interest, I've had enough  for a while ! I remember Tuesday ,October 15, 1996 the leaves were thick and beautiful on the trees, a storm rolled in Friday night, by Saturday morning virtually every tree was bare.

I'm with you on that...even though I just over seeded a couple of areas....remember I said just before season we always get high winds and a storm...that usually takes out one of my favorite stands...well the winds just roared hear all night and morning.......I think I'll hedge my bets and put the last new ladder stand in that area once the storms let up
