hi new here i have been lurking for a long time and decided to join tonite.

 

I deer hunt mainly with a rifle but may have to get into bow for my son, he is very anxious to get started.

 

That is how i found this site, i was looking for places to small game hunt where i could take him where we would be possibly moving around some instead of just sitting in one spot and i came across this site with reference tov rabbit hunting.

 

i spend most of my time "hunting", I haven't even fired a shot in the woods for 3 yrs, in Sterling forest park.

Get him a single shot 22lr or 410 gauge and go for some squirrels.  Squirrels during the fall you can walk around some.  You can also take him for pheasants in Stewart, Cranberry Mt, and Great Swamp DEP.  I'd probably go at least a 20 gauge for pheasants though.  I've come across some rabbits in Stewart too.
