No snow at Mohonk House so we're hiking.

Well the 13" of snow that was here a few days ago is completely gone, it's so warm that even the ice skating rink is closed. We planed on cross country skiing, skating and snow tubing although it sure is a beautiful place and hiking seems to be the thing to do with this weather, we saw quite a few deer on todays hike.

Kids stay free right now, one night is all I can afford, it's for my wife who put's up with three males all year long, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, mud and dirty clothes. We are having a formal dinner tonight, our first with our now 10 yr old boys. Let's see how that goes.

Great place. Took my wife there for the weekend on her 40th.  VERY pricey and that was 14 years ago.   No tv's, no phones, wifi wasn't "in" back then but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have that either.   Food?  Oh man, good eats and the view over the Valley is beautiful, sorry the snow left you guys though.  The springtime when their floral gardens are in bloom is exquisite.

Enjoy

OH, You doin' any fishing in the lake while you're there?  If you have your own tackle you can fish there all year long and the Chef will cook up your catch for you.

Ice is on lake right now but the warm weather is making everything hard, it's like spring thaw with mud everywhere.
