Hunting WMU's 5G, 5F, 5H

New to Hunting upstate NY.  I used to hunt Rangeley, ME.  Wanted to get thoughts on WMU 5G, 5F, 5H.  Thanks in advance.

We hunt 5H, Mckeever area out of a tent camp.  Nice country but thick and either steep or swampy, not much in between.  A guy who used to hunt with us told me one time it was the only place in the world where you walk uphill both going to and leaving camp.  A lot of beech whips and little spruce makes it hard to see very far.  Most places where we are shots are under 50 yds; when you actually can see something to shoot at.

Pickings have been pretty slim this year.  From opening day of NT this year we have had guys in camp every day and we have seen two complete deer.  We have seen a few flashes of tail or hide here and there.  Last year at this time we had seen around 20 deer including a couple bucks.  Lots of grouse this year though and we've been seeing moose tracks, but no moose yet.
