Confused about the legality of NYS property

There is a local site where they only release pheasants for the youth weekend and not during regular season. I have been wondering if I was legally able to hunt there now that the youth season is over. Anyone have a better guess than me? I tried calling the local DEC office but I never get out of work in time to get a hold of someone and would like to go after work some time.

From the DEC Site:

Youth-only Pheasant Hunt - DEC offers specially designated Youth Pheasant Hunts. Pheasant hunting was one of the first hunting experiences for many of today's adult hunters, and this two-day hunt will help maintain this traditional introduction to hunting.

The Department releases adult pheasants on specific sites for the Youth Pheasant Hunt weekends (consult the Hunting and Trapping Regulations Guide for the applicable dates in your area). Junior hunters can hunt these sites, which are designated below "YH", with a good chance of finding released birds. Sites designated "RS" are locations where birds will be released for the Regular Season.

As long as it wasn't on private property I wouldn't see why you couldn't.  They probably only stock for the youth weekend as it says.  I have never hunted one of these places but would sure like to know and try one out.  BUT I bet the further away you get from the release date the less likely you will see a pheasant.

Yea I was thinking that too about the further away the date, the less chances. I really want to try it out there because it is a small plot of state land and not really a prime area for deer/bowhunters. Just trying to be considerate of those in the woods. I might give it a shot Friday and see what I can kick up!
