Youth season

Do any of you guys think I should use attractant or a call this coming youth deer season share what works best with teens you know

Fawn calls or light bleats have always worked best.I have also heard that vanilla and Anise oil works to get em in but have no experiance with that

Tried vanilla for a coupe years in a row. Seen the same amount of deer that i seen without it. Personally don't think it helps or hirts. Don't think the deer really care.

I am trying anise this year in hopes of bringing the bear around

What dates are youth season and what date is the height of deer breeding?

Youth season is this weekend and the first-second week in November is chase phase/peak rut

As far as scents go, I think scent prevention is an important lesson for any new hunter ! Start there, that way when they come in they stay in !

A little early for much serious calling then.

I would agree to do a little doe calling if you have a slickhead that's hung up a little out of range.

Missouri's peak day of breeding has been studied several times, and on average, it is November 10.

Because of this date, I suggest random grunt calling from about October 25 on, rattling and gruntig from about October 30 on, and starting to REALLY get with it about November 5.

Our rifle deer season opener usually falls about November 12-15.
