growalot Posted October 22, 2014 Share Posted October 22, 2014 They just don't mix...I tried using the range finder this morning...the fog here is pretty bad and the trees are wet...could only get it to work on two different trees...but showed nothing every where else...got it home works fine in the house and the battery is good until 2018......you can't see more that 50 ft infront of you now...wasn't that bad this morning... accman Posted October 22, 2014 Share Posted October 22, 2014 I've found that with my son's rangefinder, just wasn't giving accurate readings during fog. So, I just put up orange reflective tape 1" by 2" on the trees marking upright at 20 yds and horizontal at 30 yds all around the stand. This way I'm not dependant on the rangefinder and I don't have to keep moving around ranging on an open ladder stand. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
