crowkiller
I'm just interested to see how many of you hunt crows and how you do it.
Santamour123
I used to to it all the time. I haven't in the last 10years or so. But, with the crows being as abondant and a burdon to the city, I am debating on getting back into it. When I did it I called the with a few decoys.( Fighting crows then after you shoot death cry)
crowkiller
I use decoys also. Anywhere from 20-50 depending on how many birds are using the feild
Santamour123
20-50 I have never been able to spend that much time in one spot. It seems I get 1 to 2 shoots at a spot then it is a waste to stay.
martin
Hey crowkiller, I love crow hunting now. I've been trying since I was a kid and my uncle laughed at me all those years. I see why there hard to hunt. I am getting into it now. It's only been the last 2 years that I am getting serious. I am just building up my decoys. I need more because I have only 4 of them. I due go with a friend that has some as well. I use my homemade caller and a hand caller. When I use my crow in distress, man they come in bunches, like 25 at a time and fly all over the place. Its really fun to hunt them and I hope they open it up everyday during the season. I can't get enough of it. I belong to a site and learn from there as well as just going out and watching. I have a roost by my house so it helps. What a site watching 10,000 birds flying in. Crow hunting should be year round anyways.. Just my opinion.. Take care and good luck...Marty
crowkiller
Good. Go get some more decoys, and make good blinds and you'll kill em all over the place
kencan98
Crow hunting is a ton of fun. The places I hunt we usually don't get a whole bunch but the doubles and triples come in pretty steady. I use an electronic caller and 5 or 6 decoys and I usually get pretty steady action.
Elmo
I heard it is hard to tell the difference between a crow and a raven. Has this been an issue? I certainly don't want to illegally shoot a non-game bird.
jr.deerslayer
I know that ravens are bigger and make a wierd noise. I didnt realize that they were protected.
