growalot
So if you read yesterdays hunt...you'll find this funny.. Today due to shots heard and gobbler dispersion yesterday. I decided to do a ground sit on back of property not far from where I got the pic of theTom Wooly liked. Got to brush blind at 5 spooked nothing settled in and as it started getting light I did a few tree yelps...about 30 mins later a deer spooked behind me...hhhmmm so I look over my shoulder and don't see anything...about 50yrds from farmers field and nothing is out there...Well knee can't take it and around 6:30 I need to move...get up and on path to take me the back way to a good old blind below where I was yesterday. With in shooting range of the cam I got those two toms on, around 100yrds or less from where I was opening day..I pass the corner of my woods and farm field and look back...a turkey decoy in the field...hhmm I must have walked past the hunter..I get farther down the trail and duck behind a tree....not 1 minute later up he pops...sitting under my oak trees posted sign....we were 50 yrds from each other...he had to have heard me calling when he walked in...snatch up decoys and started back up the hill towards other neighbors pines...someone wasn't happy...makes me wonder if he was suppose to be there...my moving so early and into my woods may have pushed birds out his way...Thought yesterdays shots were kinda close...Well I got down to the blind and sat in my comfy chair...until 15 mins ago..I have a ton of work that needs doing before the next rain and not one bird sound today..did hear 3 far off shots, and one down the hill where I heard one yesterday... any who...I pulled the card in that camera...dates and times are correct...Good thing I have a sense of humor. I heard this Tom gobbling his head off after I watched him move off the ridge and down the hill to the clover trail plots yesterday...He was definitely in the right place at my wrong time...and same for today though just the hen Edited May 2, 2015 by growalot
