 Well wouldn't you know it someone lost my Nikon prostaff 7 rangefinder a couple weeks ago. I won't mention any names who did it (youngest daughter)
Saturday I had to drop my oldest daughter off to college in Portland Maine so I decided after looking everywhere for my rangefinder for two weeks without success I would stop in Cabelas & get a new one. It was killing me to spend $300 for a replacement on the new 7I but I decided I loved mine so I was prepared to do it. Well they just happened to have the Nikon Aculan on sale from $189 down to $149 As it did not have all the features of my other one I thought it would be good enough for a replacement at this time. I bought it & tested it out & found it does not have a lot of features that my Prostaff 7 had but I will say for the price it is a great rangefinder & was happy with it.
Here is the good part less then 24 hours after buying the Aculand I am outside shooting my bow & getting familiar with my new rangefinder & my wife comes out & asks me if I know what this thing is she has in her hand that she found in her reusable grocery bag. Yup it is my Prostaff 7 rangefinder. After setting up a bow course for my daughter a couple weeks ago my wife had asked my daughter to help her bring in the groceries & she had set the rangefinder in one of the empty bags.
I am thinking she did it on purpose so she can now have her own rangefinder. It worked but what she doesn't realize is it will be her birthday present

LOL won't be my Prostaff. there is now  a restraining order out on her. she is not allowed within 100 ft of my Prostaff 7
