Federal Court Judge didn't jail straw purchaser after gun kills cop

This is why gun control is a joke.  If the average NRA member did it, he'd be going to jail for 10 years.

 

"A federal judge in Omaha on Monday sentenced a woman to one year of probation for illegally buying a gun on her boyfriend’s behalf from an FFL at a pawnshop. The woman could have been sentenced to a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. The boyfriend was a prohibited felon and gang member at the time of the purchase. He later used the firearm to kill a police officer, Kerrie Orozco, who was trying to arrest him in connection with another shooting."

She should have been charged just the same as the boyfriend considering the circumstances and her knowing about his inability to own one on his own

Like the NRA keeps saying, we don't need more gun control laws.  We need to enforce the gun control laws we already have, against the criminals they are supposed to control! 

 

Not invent more frivolous gun laws to use against responsible law abiding gun owners.

The push for additional laws and restrictions is a political feel-good thing. It's an appeasement strategy directed toward a certain voting group.
