Hunting in Camden, NY Area

I recently moved into the area and was looking to purchase some hunting land. I live in Canastota, NY but I have been primarily looking in the Camden, NY area. Is anyone familiar with the hunting situation, deer population, size, etc. in that area? Does anyone have suggestions of better places to look to purchase around me?
