BizCT
Hey tech guys, What is the easiest/best way to convert Vimeo videos to DVD? I want to watch them on TV instead of computer/phone. Thanks.
shawnhu
You can cast it if your tv and phone supports it. Otherwise, getting a device like chrome cast would do. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems Thanks, but no idea what your talking about. What does "cast" mean? I do have a Samsung "Smart" TV if that helps....I was thinking I could simply put a dvd in my HP laptop and burn the video onto the dvd, no? Then I can make copies of the DVD and give them to other people.... Edited March 3, 2016 by Biz-R-OWorld

Besides, this is so 90's technology. Try going directly to the source using your smart tv and try to play it through that. Or download the file in an avi format or something and pop it onto a USB drive and plug it into your tv. And that still doesn't work, buy chrome cast and have it "mirrored" from your phone to your tv. Edit: if you want to give the DVD to others, then you have no choice but to go the conversion route and make it into a readable format which is MPEG-2. Elmo
Layman's terms. You can connect your computer to your TV and essentially your computer now becomes the "DVD" player. A friend of mine uses the Apple TV. It's roughly $175 for the device and then he has monthly subscription to Netflix and Hulu which is pretty much all he watches. He said if it was for the YES Network (he's a huge baseball fan), he would have cut the cord on his cable.
BizCT
Ok, thanks. I will try accessing the video on my smart tv for home watching, and burning DVD's
shawnhu
Fire TV stick seems to be the next best thing. $40 for most, $25 if you're lucky, and you can watch a ton of stuff. Still trying to get the YES network though. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Black Bellamy
Hey tech guys, What is the easiest/best way to convert Vimeo videos to DVD? I want to watch them on TV instead of computer/phone. Thanks. FYI you can only download Vimeo videos if the video owner allows it. Most do not. You're better off going the casting route suggested by others.
