fawn encounter...

So coming home from finding cam vandalism I check out the trees in plot...deer broke top off of the Dunstan I planted last year( tubed and fenced)..go to check the peaches and I round one side of fencing, Angel the other. I nearly stepped on the little thing and it pops up under my foot and runs...right into Angels face!..Well I heard my alter ego emerge(,I call it the drill Sargent) when a resounding baritone NO! emerged from my mouth...Angels head swung my way and then back to the fawn as it dashed behind the weeds to under the blind..Again NO!...She is such a good dog...though I could see in her eyes....." but Mom PLEASE!"...I can't blame her for wanting to chase...they don't normal nearly jump into her mouth...she never moved a muscle....lol...She stayed one step behind me all the way home with the Eeyore look on her face...
