Wanted: savage 220

220 slug gun. Still on the hunt for one. Stainless is a plus. Let me know if anybody gets an eye on one. I'm in Erie county and would prefer to not go too far. Just trying to save some bucks on a new one. If I can't score by September... new it is. Tia

Im thinking of getting one too. My brother in law and his dad hunt with them. The use the Hornady SST's. They get serious groups at 200 yards. The land they hunt has a lot of open areas. His dad killed a big doe at 150 yards + last year….no problem.

The H &R slug hunter heavy barrel is an equivalent single shot slug gun just incase you haven had a chance to see one of those...both great shooting guns

I think they just stopped making the slug hunter, so if you want one grab it now..

I am more interested in the bolt action. 1st time I need a fast follow up shot and fumble for a slug I'll be kicking myself. Granted, accuracy should mean one lethal shot, but nothing ALWAYS works how we want

Cancel this post . I man'd up and got a new one. Camo/stainless. Should get it this week sometime. Now for picking a scope....
