growalot
I heard it yesterday...they are cutting the corn not too far away behind and south of us It wont be long now!...lets see...beans gone, alfalfa/clovers cut and going dormant...and corn will disappear. The oaks and beech are dropping so much they can't keep up with it . Apples are great and concentrated in one area...my corn has ears(small) and the sorghum has all started to head out well...the beans, sunflowers and hemp are all small in the weeds around the corn and sorghum, but 2 ft tall... The upper hemp/bean/pea plot is growing like mad...beans and peas runnering(SP) everywhere 5ft now and the turnips are even leafing out in it...the red clover in it is growing like mad.. You saw the turnips next to that posted in the seed review... the wht. clover plots are fantastic and the lane way turnip/chicory plus/turnips is a 10" sea of green. I'm thinking...no matter what stand I sit in I'm bound to see deer...though I'm still going to go down and check out the swamp stand this week...haven't been down all summer... it is mature oaks all the way down..not a lot but well spaced...streams are all running well and there are apple trees near the stand in the swamp...but the wild rose ..is similar to what the prince faced trying to get to sleeping beauty. I will have the long handed cutters with me.
