growalot
You guys know I have....lets say a lot of stands..I also have the shooting houses and a doghouse blind with all the open brush condo's... Well I was in the basement and what did I come across? a doghouse blind I for got I had...I was looking for my one man chair blind.... I can not think of where to put it...that's safe.. The second thing my male persimmon finally gave in to the sub zero temps we had 3 years in a row..fought hard but gave in early this spring...Then immediately it sent out new shoots all around the trunk...but now I have a mini grove started as well....I will take our about 15 square ft of a trail plot...just leave it and hope for females or dig them out in the spring for a transplant near by?......all my other persimmons are doing well...the Meader has sprung back from the bark borer that killed it...look like I will start spraying again... growalot
Serious on thought about to move or leave the persimmon to grove...thoughts? Obvious you can't really help with the blind placement,. I'd love to take it to camp ,but that is over run with trespassers...It would be a great ground blind set up under all the buckthorn. Over looking a run way through a slight opening in the field.. well what was a slight opening...It's been a couple of years since I have walked that area...I usually hunt my stands on top..that's where the bear seem to be and easier for me to get a deer out .. also where I spring turkey hunt. I'm thinking of setting it up in the middle of the slashings behind Rivers blind... just up wind of a trail that runs that... the oak are dropping there, it is thick and I could hinge a couple of trees near it for some cover...All the hinging I have been doing this summer...has a solid mass of really good blk berry plants growing along the ground here and there. I should have some excellent patches in 2 yrs. as I thin the crud trees and open up the oak canopy...
