growalot
So I've really not moved around much the last 3 weeks...,Being ill I stayed close to home on the few hunts I've done since opening week. Now they are really moving about more and I know I have them sitting along the ridge The problem is I believe they are bedding there in both the morning and the afternoon. Sight and sound will betray me in the mornings and wind in the afternoons....I would really like to get in there with my climber...I can chain it to the tree,so to be all set to go, that's not a problem...but not sure of a time I could actually get to it with out bumping something...turkeys are roosting there as well. I know when cams say they are up and moving off the ridge but unsure when the are returning to it in the afternoon. I have stands at either end of the ridge some above and below it...nothing right on it.
PREDATE
Maybe sit off to the side in an established stand to get a better gauge on them bedding there. Like you said they are moving more with pre rut kicking in so maybe a mock scrape would pull them into the area of an existing stand. If getting a new stand is an absolute plan then it sounds like getting in super early is the best bet. Good luck
