upstatehunter
I have seen many people post that they go in very far on a piece of state property to avoid other hunters. My question is, are you following a trail or going by sense of direction. I this weekend want to go far in on a piece of state land to avoid other hunters but only way is horse trails and they don't always put me where I want to be. Also this piece of state land has many roads in it, there for creating a box which in return you would come to a road even if you were per say lost. I would say most areas are 2 miles x 2 miles square boxes. My goal is to get in the middle between two roads to see any deer other hunters are kicking up. I have hunted the area I want to be in and have killed deer there so I know my general area is a good place to be. Thanks for any help. Freytown
I always have and always will hunt where the best deer sign is........2 miles in or 200 yards, it really doesn't matter.
