Was at my buddies in Canadice today and another eagle dropped in.......he landed on the frozen surface of the pond. 

During the summer, my friend has a fountain running. We take the fountain out in the fall and attach a plastic duck decoy to the anchor line that keeps the float centered. In the spring the deke comes out and the fountain goes back in.  Well maybe not this spring as the eagle proceeded to peck and scratch at the frozen decoy for 15 minutes. I'd bet it sinks when the pond thaws!!
