Good Rabbit hunting in 5J/5H?

Hi guys,

Anyone hunt rabbits in 5J/5H and know of some decent state land in that area?  Season is still open up there and with spring break from school coming up, thinking I might take a couple 'redneck nature walks...'

No I can't think of any but there is plenty of land to try, don't forget we have lot's of snow up north still. Have you used the DEC map yet?  Or if you are really bored take a ride up my way and ask a farmer, they should be willing to let you rabbit hunt I would think. I am in the Town of Northumberland, Gansevoort Scyhlerville area and there are lots of farms and hedge rows to try.

Yep, have the map, just haven't been up there a whole lot so not sure where is best.  Are you guys still getting snow up there or is it all rain now?

We are getting a mix but are in the 2-5 range for Sunday. Ofcourse the line for 5-10 is narrow so who knows for sure but I'm hoping for rain..lol  There is plenty of snow on the ground still, it made it a mess today.
