growalot
That has something no one else around you has...It's never too late to plant to attract the critters if you have the land...I'm talking trees here and shrubs..Persimmons. yep they'll tell you " oh they'll grow ,but you won't get fruit..." Don't believe every thing you hear...I was told I'd never get Kiwi's ,persimmon, peaches to grow and fruit here...guess what?...they have cultivars being introduced all the time... Meader,Praire star, sun, dawn all rated zone 4 and earlier producing trees that start fruiting earlier(2-3yrs) and are self fertile. They have new mulberry cultivars bigger fruit longer season(2yrs) for zone 5...ect..ect..Apples are a dime a dozen how many guys around you grow the uncommon sought out fruit deer love? Not to mention oaks ,chestnuts and hazel or wht. walnuts....Don't limit yourself...some day you may not have time, cash or ability to plant a plot or two....which could be fine ...if you planned ahead of time....
