I'm not sure what you're asking? You have to have loose ground for the oats so you have to break it yearly

I was just curious, trying to learn a little here. Can we use something else if we don't have a full size disc. I have heard some people trying to just till it, I have also heard of some using a set of "rock pulling fingers" rear dozer attachment just to break up the soil.
I guess the better question is will anything work?
