growalot
I'm getting lots of pics in what looks like barren turnip plots but the pic shows what they are eating...I mentioned that when I seed a turnip plot I double seed once early mid late July and then a month or more after ...the first seeding keeps the second from developing fully and it gives the deer two different sized bulbs...but it also give a early spring taste treat. the picture shows the tiny, just a little bigger than chestnuts or big acorns , firm sweet turnips... they are all over the top of the plots right now...frost heaving does this..I know they are sweet greens and bulbs because I eat them...sorta like growing those designer mini veggies. not tough or stringy either. so That is why I talk about doing the over seeding..For one thing, it helps keep them off the emerging clovers Edited April 10, 2017 by growalot
sailinghudson25
Nice. How far are you upstate? We've had the wild chive / onions going for 2 weeks now.
