nothing like a good dog to hunt both the brown or white rabbits with.

If I did not go south for 3 months each winter I sure would be on the buy list to have one.

I for years raised beagle pups myself. As a pet they sure will become a member of the family and as a hunting dog you can not miss with them for the love of the hunt.

I also am a prior Orange county guy, lived in Walden NY for several years. Worked at IBM Fishkill NY, IBM Manassas VA, ENdicott NY and retired from IBM Glenndale lab at Endicott NY.

Yah I Love my Beagles i have 6. i have 5 females & 1 male. the male is one of the sons of run em over tank. i dont know if you fimaliar with the bloodlines or not haha but do you know any close spots near orange county to hunt snow shoe ?

The closest place is in North Pharsalia NY off of route 23. The name of the road is One EYe road. 7500 acreas os state land that is ade up of about 50% is red pine. The white rabbits are not even a lot there as they log the red pine, but never replant, so the trees get to big and no food for the rabbits. This area is part of the snow belt and gets 150+ inches of snow per year. No a lot of hunters for rabbit of either brown or white in the area. I lived on this road and also it was my hunting camp in the past for over 20 years. I use to go all the way to black lake to hunt white and brown both, we over the weekend with 8 dogs use to come home with 4 guys taking a bunch 30 + on a weekend. But they tell me that is also on the down side now. But what runs it use to be. My dogs were out of the wind creek limbo. I belonged to the Whitney point beagle club.

thanks some of my dogs are flat creek and i got a mall thts grandfather is run em over tank. i dont know if your fimilar with those blood lines or not
