DirtTime
For the past three years we have been making our own tomato sauce, we get our tomatoes from Shaul Farms. This was a sad announcement from the farm. Quote A Letter From David Shaul: Shaul Farms·Monday, June 26, 2017 For the last 83 years, my family has grown quality vegetables and taken care of the land. In the last several years we have been challenged to meet the changing needs of our customers, while at the same time we have faced increasing labor, food safety and environmental issues. Given these issues, I have made the difficult decision to take this growing season off. Please understand this decision was not made quickly or easily. Shaul Farms will continue to have garlic, sweet corn, potatoes, and pumpkins available for purchase. Please check our web page (currently being updated) or facebook as we announce our updates. Sincerely, David Shaul Owner of Shaul Farms For about 34 years I have been camping at Max V. Shauls State Campground. In all that time one of the best things was hitting the produce stand. They made it through Hurricane Irene, and the next year had some nasty storms as well. To hear they are taking this season off is more then disheartening. Check out the site or FB page for more info.
