Deer eating fertilizer or seed.

Was review some trail cam pics from this June when I started my woodland plot. It appeared from the pics that after the area was disced and fertilized and seeded there was an abundance of deer grouped eating in the dirt area in front of the cam.

Just curious if anyone has any experience or ever saw this before
