Rattler
For those without limited attention spans, the following essay explains what is really going on in this country at this time. Well worth a read. Despite all the media-orchestrated lies about Black Lives Matter (BLM) being a spontaneous grassroots uprising — amply abetted by power-hungry Democrats, cowardly Republicans, morally bankrupt academics, and contemptible corporate virtue signalers — BLM is actually a front for a web of well-funded communist/socialist organizations that have agitated against America for decades. BLM was launched in 2013 by radical leftist activists Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi with a Twitter hashtag, #BlackLivesMatter, shortly after the acquittal of neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman for the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. "It was a verdict that said: black people are not safe in America," Garza asserted. No, it said that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense, an assertion borne out by eyewitness testimony. Nonetheless, the case became a media-generated effort to sow racial discord, one so duplicitous it required Zimmerman to be identified as a "white Hispanic" to maintain that narrative. This duplicity was magnified following the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown by officer Darren Wilson, when the phrase "Hands up, don't shoot" went viral despite even the Obama administration's Eric Holder-led DOJ being unable to bring charges against Wilson. Regardless, Dream Defenders, an organization led by the ACORN-affiliated Working Families Party activist and Occupy Wall Street anarchist Nelini Stamp, exploited "Hands up, don't shoot," which ultimately became BLM's most recognized slogan — and the riots typified by the explosion of arson, looting, and violence occurring in Ferguson, Missouri, became the template for the current unrest. After its inception, BLM was quickly co-opted by a number of radical groups. Garza, Cullors, and Tometi all work for front groups maintained by the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), one of the four largest radical-left organizations in the country. Other groups include the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS). And then there is the Real Justice PAC founded by BLM activist Shaun King. Along with similar efforts undertaken by George Soros — who has also donated $33 million directly to BLM — it has been pivotal in helping elect far-left district attorneys bent on radically transforming American's justice system. In reality, many of these groups — including BLM — are little more than websites or Facebook pages, and BLM is actually one of dozens of groups overseen by the FRSO. Garza, a self-described "queer" social-justice activist who reveres convicted cop killer Assata Shakur, belongs to many of them, including the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), People Organized to Win Employment Rights (POWER), the School of Unity and Liberation (SOUL), and the Right to the City Alliance (RTTC) Cullors, who describes herself as a "working class, queer, black woman," founded and runs Dignity and Power Now (DPN), a group claiming to seek "dignity and power of incarcerated people, their families, and communities." She was mentored by former Weather Underground leader Eric Mann, who champions efforts to form international communist organizations. Tometi is the child of illegal aliens from Nigeria with a long history of supporting Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. She currently runs the Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI). Accuracy in Media (AIM) illuminates the ultimate agenda. "The radical Left model is based on alliances of many organizations that are working on separate issues but dedicated ultimately to the same thing: overthrowing our society in order to replace it with a hardcore socialist (read communist) one," it warns. That takes money, and there is no shortage of useful idiots willing to donate to the undermining of the nation. Thus, the FRSO/BLM axis and other radical leftist organizations receive money from the likes of Ben & Jerry's, Ford, Kellogg, Rockefeller, San Francisco, Heinz, Soros Funds, and a host of others. Islamist organizations are also part of the BLM mix, including the Muslim Brotherhood front group Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which joined BLM activists in storming California Governor Jerry Brown's office in 2015. CAIR also participated in the Ferguson protests, and ISIS is recruiting American blacks as well. Many of these groups embrace Critical Race Theory, a philosophy established by Harvard professor Derrick Bell, who asserted that America is a permanently racist nation whose legal structures are invalid because they are designed to support white supremacy. Bell's theory is an evolution of Critical Theory developed by the communist Frankfurt School founded in Germany in 1923. When its Jewish communist scholars fled Nazi Germany in the '30s, they ended up at … Columbia Teachers College in New York. Thus, concepts like "political correctness" and "white privilege" that poison the educational system were established long ago. And an integral part of the narrative — aside from its contempt for capitalism, free markets, limited government, and traditional American values — is BLM's assertion that only whites can be racists. From there, it has moved on to greater ambitions. "The group's radical Marxist agenda would supplant the basic building block of society — the family — with the state and destroy the economic system that has lifted more people from poverty than any other. Black lives, and all lives, would be harmed," communists Mike Gonzalez and Andrew Olivastro explain. And no matter how upfront BLM activists are regarding their agenda, a contemptible combination of wokeness and cowardice fuels their ambitions. As Heather Mac Donald reveals, "Black Lives Matter has gained billions of dollars in corporate support, more billions in free round-the-clock media promotion, and a ruthless power to crush dissent from the now-universal narrative about murderous police bigots. During the two weeks of national anarchy that followed the death of George Floyd, cops were shot, slashed, and assaulted; their vehicles and station houses were firebombed and destroyed. American elites stayed silent." That last bit is key. For perhaps the first time in world history, we have a revolution conducted from the top-down, not the bottom-up. Thus, educators, entertainment-industry titans, multinational CEOs, progressive prosecutors who disdain Rule of Law, and craven politicians in both parties support what amounts to a militia of useful idiots — useful idiots being used as violent pawns to advance an elitist, globalist agenda under the rubric of mending race relations. This is no accident. If race is in the forefront, the reality that America's most pressing problems are class-related can be obscured. "One of the reasons that the Left and the Democratic Party feared and hated the Trump movement was its emphasis on class rather than race, a more fluid and potentially more dynamic appeal, and one with the potential to unite rather than divide those of different tribes," Victor Davis Hanson explains. Unity is utterly anathema to the American Left. And despite the lofty assertions by Democrats, BLM, and others, some black lives — including children — are eminently expendable, as the routine black-on-black carnage in cities like Chicago and Baltimore indicate. Even more expendable? The truth. Thus, statistical realities about police shootings, or the utter havoc a Marxist/socialist society would wreak upon the nation, especially in minority communities, are irrelevant. What is relevant? Columnist Kurt Schlichter puts it this way: "It's not about making sense. It never was. It's about making you kneel."
