11/19/11 Rabbit Hunt

Hey guys , I know most people deer hunting on opening day for NY, but I went rabbit hunting. Dogs did well, we ran a total of 7 rabbits, and 3 cock phesants. I ended up harvesting 2 rabbits, missed anothe 2 which holed up, 2 crossed a road to a no hunt area, and 1 the dogs either lost or holed up, Started at about 9am and left for home at 1:30, so was pretty action packed

Karp, did not get out last week, work, thanksgiving, and kids , kept me from going. I hate going when weather is too nice, alot people out enjoying the day and on the island leads to problems. My club upstate is out until deer season over, so that is out too. Might get out this week, I hope. As soon as deer season over I really want to get together for a day with you and gino. Have you been doing anymore deer hunting with bow or gun? Maybe next couple weeks we go for dinner
