Anywhere to hunt near Amityville?

Hey whats up. Check out Amityville on google maps. That will pretty much answer your question...As in none. (unless you have a duck boat)

You could travel east, maybe 45 minutes, and there is some DEC land, but you have to sign in at the Ridge check Station, usually.

Oh, my camp is up by you, North Pitcher/ Lincklaen area.

Thanks for the info, That's cool u are near me how did you make out at your camp this year. I got a six pt. on 2nd day of rifle but it was a slow year with not much movement. Do you guys hunt the state land there?

I did not get anything. I passed on a small buck that my buddy shot a half hour later...lol!

I saw a few and spooked a few...It was pretty quiet. I did have a buck ram my tree. Never saw him as he came from behind. Yes he actually ramed my tree. Scared the crap outa me. Ha! I put a dab of some doe esturus (sp) on the base. I was thinking as more of a cover scent than attractant. Well, I guess it was a great attractant lol.

Congrats on the six point.

My land butts up against state, but I mostly stay on mine...To many man-critters on the state land near me!
