I recently bought the Springfield EMP in .40 for what I thought would be a carry gun. I like the pistol...it shoots much better than I can. It is, however, quite heavy...maybe too heavy for regular carry. I have yet to find a good holster for it...so, therefore, I carry it in a waist or shoulder pack.

Questions: Anybody have the EMP? What do you think of it? Any suggestions for a holster? I'm thinking I would like a "small of the back" holster with a thumb break, but I cannot find one.

For us civilians, this task of finding a good regular carry gun can be daunting (and expensive: buying, trying, selling, buying again, etc.). All suggestions would be appreciated.
